Abstract:

In this research, a PVC membrane electrode for Manganese (II) ions based on N-(2-Picolinamidoethyl)Picolinamide as neutral carrier was prepared. The electrode exhibits a Nemstian responseover Mn(II) concentration range of (1.0 x10-5 t01.0 X 10-1M) with a slope of 29.3±0.5 mV perdecade of concentration with a working pH range of 4.0-9.0. It has a fast response time (

Selective Membrane Electrode for Bromide Ion Based on Aza Pyrilium Ion Derivative as a new Ionophore.

A highly selective electrode for Bromide ion based on aza pyrilium derivative as an excellentionophore is described. The sensor exhibits a good linear response with a slope of ( 60±1 ) mV per decadeover the concentration range of ( 1×10-3 – 9×10-6 M ) , and a detection limit of ( 3×10-6 M ) of Bromideions .The electrode response is independent of pH in the range of(4.0 –9.5).Selectivity coeffici...

[Tetrakis(4-N,N-dimethylaminobenzene)porphyrinato]manganese(III) acetate as a novel carrier for a selective iodide PVC membrane electrode.

[5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(4-N,N-dimethylaminobenzene)porphyrinato]Mn(III) acetate (MnTDPAc) was applied as an ionophore for an iodide-selective PVC membrane electrode. The influences of the membrane composition, pH of the test solution and foreign ions on the electrode performance were investigated. The sensor exhibited not only excellent selectivity to iodide ion compared to Cl- and lipophilic anio...

Thiocyanate ion-selective PVC membrane electrode based on N,N'-ethylene-bis(4-methylsalicylidineiminato)nickel(II).

A highly selective poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane electrode based on an N,N'-ethylene-bis(4-methyl-salicylidineiminato) nickel(II) [Ni(EBMSI)] complex as a carrier for a thiocyanate-selective electrode is reported. The influences of the membrane composition, pH and possible interfering anions were investigated based on the response properties of the electrode. The electrode exhibited a goo...

N-phenylaza-15-crown-5 as Ionophore in PVC-Matrix for Fe2+ - Selective Sensor

The preparation of polymer membrane selective to Iron(II) ion and its application to ion-selectiveelectrode is reported here. PVC membrane contains Iron–selective N-phenylaza-15-crown-5 asionophore. The membrane electrode is highly selective to Iron(II) ion and exhibit good linearresponse over a wide concentration range of 1.0 × 10-2 to 1.0 × 10-6 M with Nernstian slope of29.2 ± 0.6 mV per deca...
